Custom metafields are an advanced operation because data types must be strictly matched. As a preparation step, please be sure to create the specified custom metafield in advance. To prevent inconsistencies, we recommend testing with about 5 records first. We generally expect the same behavior for Article, Collection, and Product, but the import behavior for Collection and Product may differ. Also, only single-value types are supported.
