How to Import Custom Fields into Shopify Metafields

Common migration flow

  • Check if export is possible

    Saving article data from the source is called exporting. Exporting article data is possible on various platforms such as WordPress, Color Me Shop, Squarespace, and Ghost.

    Blog Importer supports WordPress (XML), WooCommerce (XML), Squarespace (XML), Ghost (JSON), and platforms that can export to CSV.

  • Export

    Export the required data from the source platform. For WordPress export instructions, see here.

    When exporting, split the data by date so that each file is under 2 MB. This is safer than importing a large file at once.

  • Upload to Blog Importer

    Select a platform and simply drag and drop the file to complete the process automatically.
